There are currently 15 methods of contraception available in the UK and it is worth taking some time to decide which suits you the best. All the doctors at the practice are able to help you decide which method is right for you and information leaflets on all methods are available in our information room at Chiddingfold Surgery or in the waiting room at Dunsfold Branch Surgery.
If you have had unprotected sex i.e sex without using contraception, or you think your contraception might have failed e.g split condom, forgotten to take your “pill” you can use emergency contraception.
If you are in need of emergency contraception please ring and ask for an URGENT appointment (if asked please let the receptionist know you need emergency contraception). It is important to be seen as soon as possible after the episode of unprotected intercourse. If you need to get emergency contraception when the surgery is closed you can visit a local pharmacy that may be able to provide emergency contraception to you or alternatively contact NHS direct or our out of hours service.
