We are disappointed to report that an attempted arson attack took place in the early hours of Monday 3 February 2020 at Chiddingfold surgery. Fortunately, there was limited damage to the premises and the surgery was able to remain open and provide GP services to the local community without any disruption.
The surgery staff would like to offer patients reassurance that robust security measures are in place to prevent similar incidents from taking place in the future.
Unlike the devastating fire just over a year ago this incident did not result in extensive damage. We are so grateful that no one was injured. The surgery staff are saddened by this incident but will continue to offer health and care advice and support to our patients. The last fire had a significant impact upon our community and no-one wants to have to suffer the inconvenience and disruption again.
Many thanks for your support and co-operation.
Dr Claire Willett, Dr Darren Watts, Dr Claire Shorter and all staff at Chiddingfold surgery
